Square 1 Art Fundraiser!!!

BREAKING NEWS!!!  The MES Paint to Play fundraiser is upon us!

Coming home to you soon is a school sponsored elementary fundraiser called Square 1 Art.  This fundraiser takes your child’s artwork and makes it into great products for you to purchase.  These products are wonderful keepsakes and gifts for family and friends.  Your child has been busy making beautiful artwork that can be made into many fun products such as magnets, t-shirts, mouse pads, ornaments and much more!   These keepsakes will make perfect gifts just in time for the holidays!

The money raised from this fundraiser will be used toward the Middletown Elementary playground fund. 

Looking Ahead…

•             Soon! – Look for your child’s FREE STICKERS with ordering information to come home.  You will be able to see your child’s artwork and ordering information at the top of the Stickers.

•             November 13th, 2012 – All ONLINE ORDERS AND PAPER ORDER FORMS ARE DUE.  No late orders will be accepted.

•             Early December– Approximate Product Distribution.  Watch for future details.

Square 1 Art is a wonderful fundraiser that celebrates your child’s artwork along with helping our school.  Thank you in advance for your continued help and support with all of our fundraising efforts!

MES Swing to Play 2012... a success!

Thank you to all of the golfers that came out on September 15th to help support our playground fundraising efforts! A great time was had by all. The golf was fun, the company was fantastic, and the weather was perfect.
A big thank you to the staff of Musket Ridge Golf Club for being excellent hosts! It was a pleasure to have the event at your course once again!
Another HUGE thank you to the staff members that came to the course to help run the event!

This event was a true community event! Great job MES staff, parents, and students!

MES Eat To Play at Middletown Subway!

Stop by the Middletown Subway any time on Wednesday May 23rd to help MES raise money for the playground fundraising effort! Here are the details!!!

When: ALL DAY Wednesday May 23rd

Where: Middletown Subway

Stop by for Breakfast, lunch or dinner any time on the 23rd and mention the MES Eat To Play. You can even purchase a gift card to use on another day. 15% of ALL sales for people that mention the MES Eat to Play will be donated to the MES playground initiative.

Please remember, if you go to Subway on the 23rd, mention MES Eat to Play and help us get closer to the new playground at MES!!

Register for the MES Run To Play!

Way to go Middletown! Last week was a big week for our playground fundraising efforts. With both the Skate To Play and the Dig To Play taking place, we all came together and came one step closer to making The MES Playground a reality. We do not have offical totals at this time, but we would like to share some preliminary amounts that these two great events raised.

On Thursday at Skate Frederick, we had 85 skaters on the ice throughout the evening. We also had Keyote from the Frederick Keys come join us in the skating fun! Thanks to all of the families that came skating, we were able to raise $445 dollars for the playground.
Another great part of the skate night was that Roy Rogers held a MES Skate to Play Night for our cause and donated 25% of proceeds to the playground fund. We would like to thank the families that came out to dinner after the skate. We would also like to thank ALL of the families that didn't come to skate, but came out to Roy's for dinner! We do not have a total for the Roy Rogers part of the evening, but we will get that to you as soon as we know!

Our Dig To Play fundraiser also came to an end on Thursday. Once again, we do not have an offical total as of yet, but the numbers are very impressive. Thank you to EVERYONE who went out and helped sell those plants and seeds. In all, we had over 200 separate orders raising approximately $2,900. We will keep you updated as to when your orders will be available for pick up.


The staff and students would like to extend a very big thank you to everyone who has helped out in anyway as we continue to raise money to improve our school's playground!
